I largely missed the Giant Spectacular this weekend and all I took was a rather noisy, blurry shot of a sleeping Giant at the Albert dock.
I had not planned to see the procession. In fact, I wasn’t keen on the commuter chaos at all but still had to turn up at work. With Brexit in sight, I also had an appointment to apply for a residence permit, which made avoiding the traffic chaos altogether a non-option. The civil servants dealing with the application where remarkably efficient and friendly though. This then must have been the first time I got more grief from a puppeteer than a government bureaucrat.
I carried my DSLR in any case; just in case I would be stuck with an ‘I wish I had my camera’ moment. The moment came, and I wished I had my tripod. The unsightly result is the picture above, taken on an EOS760D with 90mm f1.8 lens at ISO 800, 1/80 second.
